The next day we went to a nature reserve because it was beautiful. Part of our walk in it was by the beach, and my father took a photo of me facing the water. The sand was blowing so fast at my face that it actually hurt, when I tried to say something I got sand in my mouth and when I showered that evening a lot of sand left my hair too. At least it was a fun experience. We also climbed a quite large sand dune a few kilometers away, where we could look over the treetops and out to the horizon far away in the ocean, about 770 kilometers away to be exact according to some calculations.
What else did we do? Well, we visited some other places that were quite beautiful, and tried a restaurant where they had a deer enclosure and only served dishes with deer meat. We also took a walk in the enclosure later. The grass was about as short as a lawn mower could make it, the deer sure ate everything. The only difference between them and a lawn mower was that they left small balls of poo everywhere, and with everywhere I mean about 50 - 100 per square meter.
I can't say that I loved the week there as we didn't do much that I was interested of. Looking at beautiful things doesn't keep my interest for very long, I guess it has to do with age. It was a good thing that the friends of ours made the week quite a lot more fun and well worth it. There were also certain funny memories, like trying jalapeno ice cream, and finding an uncommon butterfly that looked like a wasp - Intended by mother nature of course -.
Now it's two weeks until I head back to Sundsvall to prepare the introduction weeks for those who start studying journalism this year. Until then and during that week I'll be working with a study that I'm conducting, it's supposed to be a group work for three but as my group isn't doing anything I'm working solo.
