I took the train from Stockholm at 18.22 on Monday with a newly bought pack of cards and the fourth book in the Millenium "trilogy", I also brought a classmate for some company. It turned out to be more than one however.
I had booked two seats where four seats were facing each other with a table between them to make it easier playing cards and talking. We shared the place with a woman and one empty seat. To our surprise another classmate came walking in the aisle. He had had a stressful workday before the train and decided to relax on his own for an hour or so before joining us. When he joined us two other things had happened, the woman next to me had left and we had noticed that another classmate was also on the train in the next wagon. Soon the four of us were sitting there playing cards. It ended poorly for me but the two or three hours we sat there passed by fast.
When we arrived in Sundsvall some minutes before 22 me and the guy I travelled with booked a cab to take us to Nacksta where we both live. When I arrived at my - or well technically my friend who's absents - apartment I realised I didn't have anything to eat before going to bed and the supermarket was closed since long. It wasn't a large problem as I had bought a far too expensive and small but also quite hearty sandwich on the train. I wouldn't have minded some yogurt, which I usually eat before going to bed, but I could survive without. I didn't think about the next morning however.
When I woke up I was very very hungry, thankfully I had stayed up quite late so lunch at the school was just about to open. I went there with a classmate and ate about two or three times as much as I usually do. After that I headed to the first lecture and it was great fun to meet my class again. In the evening some of us went out to eat at a newly opened greek restaurant and now I'm back here writing the blog.
It's a bit later than I intended for it to be, 23.38. I was finished about fourty minutes ago but for some reason everything I had written except for the first three sentences decided to delete itself. If computers were easily repaired and I didn't risk hurting anyone I would gladly have smashed this one and thrown it out the window, I briefly considered doing it anyway.
Still, I can't be too mad even if I have a good reason. I'll have many nice evenings in Sundsvall, tomorrow I'm visiting a newly opened hamburger restaurant with 2 kg burgers for example. I will have three or four friends to help me with it but it will be an experience going to hamburger heaven.
