There are of course people who think that this day should have more importance, this opinion is obviously very common among nationalists. There is a lot of loud and strong criticism against the way we (don't) celebrate this day. According to the internet everyone in SD (nationalist party) and their much more extreme cousins seem to find it terrible but empty vessels make the most noise. might just be that. Anyway, the reason they all give for that we celebrate less nowadays is the oh so terrible immigration, the politicians bow their heads for the wishes of all the immigrants and accepts hiding everything swedish away. Yeah, that's how the reasoning goes. Here comes a funny fact, or well, perhaps not funny for those blaming immigration for everything. 2005 the Swedish national day was declared a work-free day. The suggestion had come up earlier but always got declined, why it passed this time? Immigrants found it odd that we swedes didn't celebrate the day more. Weird, as all immigrants want to do is live as parasites and destroy everything swedish, right?
Just something worth thinking about for some people.
I apologise for not writing last Sunday, I was at my friends graduation party and came home at four o´clock so I was a bit too tired and forgot about it yesterday. I didn't leave the party that late, I left too late to catch the last subway however, meaning I had to walk for quite a while and then wait for a bus. It wasn't all bad tho, I met a new friend who accompanied me for the walk.
I don't think all that immigrants want to do is to ruin Sweden nor do I think that all swedes think they do. That's why Jag vill leva jag vill dö i norden. - That's the way the national anthem ends. "I want to live, I want to die in the north."
