Well, now I got the time, and the thing I was going to write about yesterday was the exchange students that I've befriended.
I met them on Saturday two weeks ago at Kårhuset, a bar/disco only for students from the university. I noticed my friend making attempts at speaking German with someone and got curious. It wasn't really possible to understand my friend, neither for me nor the guy he was talking to but I did manage to figure out that the guy was German. I'm always eager to practise my German as I don't want to forget it so I saw a good chance here.
I ended up with some more exchange students from different countries and had some good hours speaking to them in a room that was a bit more quiet. While speaking I got to know that some of them lived in Nacksta, meaning I'd have good company on the way home. It's a walk of about 20 minutes so it really makes it a lot shorter to have someone to talk to.
That could have been the end of a nice evening but before saying good night we added each other on Facebook to be able to keep in touch.
We didn't really speak during the week but on Saturday I got invited to a party at his place. Perfect timing as some of my friends were off to the ski resort Åre over the weekend. I went over to his place and ended up in great company with people from India, China, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and India. Probably some other country that I've forgotten as well.
We had a really nice evening and went to Kårhuset this week too. To my surprise I ended up dancing a bit. We finished the night of with climbing a 10m high pile of snow conveniently placed right outside the entrance. The next day we went to the Irish guys place for some dinner and random nice chatting. A really good way of spending a week as I love to meet new people.
