A few havn't been that much fun, like reporting from a district committee meeting in a far too warm room for example. But many have been the kind of stuff I prefer to do, light-hearted articles about something nice. For example that a new online trading site has been created only for the district of Hägersten, that my paper covers. Or the popular café, that's hopefully getting a really needed expansion, that I visited today and wrote an article about. After writing down some memory notes before heading to my boss house I also stumbled upon my old teacher from seventh to ninth grade there who's retired since four days back. Quite funny as one of the things I wrote down was that the café is especially popular among retirees.
The funniest job has to be what I did on friday however, the job every single kid has once dreamed of ... testing icecream places and rating the icecream based on price, taste and size. I didn't have to pay for myself either, so I basicly took the subway around the district and tested icecream. I decided to test one scoop of vanilla icecream at each of the four places. I couldn't really try different tastes as I had to compare the taste, and vanilla feels what most people like.
It was lovely from the start but I have to say that I was a bit tired of vanilla icecream at the end. That might actually show in my comparision, which I find quite fun. A lady pointed out that the second and the fourth place I tested actually had the same icecream brand, meaning that their icecream should taste the same. I rated the second place 7/10 in taste and 4/10 in size, different from the fourth place that I rated 6/10 in taste and 5/10 in size. Larger but not tasting that good, sounds to me like I didn't feel like eating more vanilla icecream :)
