On Monday I met some old friends from my gymnasium, we hadn't seen each other in a long while so it was very nice. We played a game similar to pictionary and had a great time. I came home a bit later than I had planned to, around midnight, but it was time well spent. On Tuesday I met the next group of friends, also very nice. We ended up talking at a pub and later a café. Apparently we talked for a long while as I had to check the Stockholm trip planner website so that I wouldn't miss the last train home. I live at my fathers place in Vallentuna during Christmas, a bit outside of Stockholm so it's not possible to walk.
The last train left at 00.20 so I went for that, however I was in for a scary surprise when I came there. There were three lines, 27, 28 and 29. 28 and 29 were going alright but 27, which is mine, wasn't. The next train would leave at 05.20. I was feeling quite uneasy until I read that I should take train 28 to get to a station further out where I could switch to 27. That worked and I got home alright at about one a clock. I didn't risk having to sleep outdoors anyway as my mother lives close to the city center but it was still quite a jumpscare.
On Wednesday my father pointed out that we hadn't seen each other for two days despite living in the same house. He always left for work too early and I always came home too late. However I didn't do much on Wednesday so we spent some time decorating. On Christmas we ate some typical Christmas dinner and opened our gifts. A lot more exciting when I was younger but still nice. I got an USB-stick, a bit of cash and a bottle of quality beer that I have decided to start of the new year with. I gave a lantern for decorations to him. I had planned to give him a candle holder as he told me that the last one had stopped functioning but I couldn't find any nice ones so I went for something else that lights up.
Today I havn't done very much, me and my father went for a walk in the surrounding areas, which look a lot more nice than the middle of Stockholm. The distance to the center is annoying and the train there costs a bit but it does have its good sides to live in a villa district right next to the countryside.
On Tuesday one of my friends presented a very interesting opinion, we were talking about replacing actors in sequels. If it has to be done for some reason I think one of the most important things is to try to find an actor that looks similar to the original one. Of course he has to be able to act well too but I see it as a very important thing. My friend disagreed completely, he told me that the only thing that mattered to him was that the actor could portray the character well, not the looks.
This got me curious so I'll ask you readers: Is it important that a replacement actor looks a lot like the original one?
Note: I'm only talking about the original films or the "official movies" when it's based on a book, like the Harry Potter movies for example. When it comes to stuff like Romeo and Juliet there are so many different versions that anything works in my - and his - opinion.
