I don't think it's possible for me to like a four hour trip by car but having two classmates with me made it a bit more fun. As well as that the radio only played Swedish songs because of the national day. Half way there, in Gävle, we stopped at McDonalds to eat, sadly my jacket decided that it didn't want to follow all the way to Stockholm and stayed there. Now they're keeping it there for a while but I'm not sure how long. I'm trying to find a friend that lives close to Gävle to pick it up for me and keep it until midsummer, when I return. Hopefully I manage. Unlike my jacket I managed to make it the entire way to Stockholm central station. At least the heavy rain that we'd been driving in was completely gone. Instead it was really warm, for a Swedish person that means around +20. That's a normal day in the Swedish summer for you, except for that it was sunny.
After getting to Stockholm and getting home I watched a bit of the official national day celebration. Some decent music and speeches. The king was his usual self, meaning that he looked a bit confused and started looking around instead of at whoever was speaking. Thankfully his wife, the queen, was good at making him refocus. He is actually almost known for making mistakes. One famous example is that he started a speech with "Kära örebroare", which means "Dear people in Örebro.". Nothing wrong with the start except for that he wasn't in the city Örebro, he was in the city Arboga. I doubt that he'd aim for the job as king if he wasn't born into it. I still like him tho, I don't know why but I just do. In some weird way I find him cute.
After watching that ... Well, I got - and am - tired. I'm writing this blog while listening to Alla vill till himmelen, a Swedish song that I was reminded of when the radio played it in the car. Of course I also listen to the national anthem one last time. Good night folks!
