She turned out to be much more helpful and readily agreed to be interviewed. The problem was that I didn't really have anything particular to interview her about. She hadn't been part of any scoop and had only had normal jobs. The one thing that was a bit unusual is how fast she'd advanced after finishing her studies at my university. I took that as my angle even if I didn't feel like it would be perfect. Turns out I was right. She was good at answering my question and I got a lot of info. If I made a portrait of her it would have been great but not so when it's a news article. I ended up writing about how hard it is to get job and using her to show that it's still possible. I'm not very happy with the outcome but I can't really improve my article that much. It's well written and so but I don't have such a great story that I'd like and without a story an article wont be good, no matter the amount of improving. Tomorrow I'm handing it in, I'll just have to wait and see what grade I get.
When it comes to the trainee period it looks brighter. I did actually find a newspaper that was happy to have me as a trainee the two weeks. They had been covering the area in Stockholm where I live for a while but only on the web. Their physical paper was quite new and they really needed more journalists for it. They actually asked me if I could work more than my two weeks as a trainee. Sadly I don't think I can. I wont have any breaks before Christmas and that wont be a break either really, I wont have any lectures but I'll get something else to do. I would still like to work a bit then but that would mean that I start of as an employee and then, three months later, work as a trainee. The only possible solution is that my school agrees to change my trainee period to during Christmas but I doubt that will happen. It might be for the best anyway, I'll probably be quite busy during Christmas.
That being said I'm going to finish this post now. After writing it twice, just like the first woman declined to be interviewed the first text declined to be posted. Instead the text disappeared, so I had to write it all over again. Good thing that the only thing I have to do tomorrow is hand my article in, no lectures.
To finish with something purely nice, I've really gotten started with running again, three times this week.
Good night people.
